In the story All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr the reader is exposed to the life stories of many characters during the ferocious battles of World War ll. People are judged in many ways but it comes down to what they do in the moment and how we treat the situation. The two showings of extreme courage are shown through the characters of Mr. LeBlanc and Warner. Their actions really defined who they are and who other characters came out to be.
One character who really persevered in the novel was Daniel LeBlanc. His display of courage brought the most important person in his life, his blind daughter Marie Laure, comfort and a feeling of security. Dedicating all his free time to teaching her how to read braille and builder Marrie detailed models of Saint Malo and Paris. He is a dedicated father and during this time of war he wont leave her side. “He says she is his émerveillement. Warner is a German Nazi soldier who specialty is to work on radios which is his passion and hobby. He is faced with a life changing moment when a young Austrian girl is killed in front of him. This event changed his perspective on the Nazi party. Warner’s courage was shown when he was given the chance to take the Sea of Flames, a dimond with extreme wealthy that belonged to Marie. “Worth so much.
