One of the masterpieces in the history of philosophy is Allegory of the Cave by Plato; it had been used as a great teaching tool in education throughout the years till now. Plato used Allegory of the Cave to teach citizens how to break free of the world of ignorance and start to reason, question, and think; instead of following traditions and rules blindfolded. Allegory of the Cave is used to teach people that the effect of education is massive on the soul and that in order to obtain democracy we must be well educated first. Allegory of the Cave was a teaching tool that Plato wrote to enlighten the citizens; it was an image of the life of citizens at that time. I believe that Plato wrote Allegory of the Cave as simple as it could have been ever written in order for people to understand the massage from it. Plato used Socrates as the prisoner who was able to stand up and turn around to find that the puppeteers in the cave were manipulating him by the shadows; Socrates was able to break free of the chains and because of that turning point in his soul he was dragged out of the cave to finally see the real world. He finally finds the form of good, the source of everything. After knowing the truth Socrates will think about going back to the cave to help rescue the rest of the prisoners, he believes that he must share his knowledge of the true world with others. Now that he know the truth and the form of good he will never go back to live in that cave again but he will go back to alert all the prisoners about the world of illusion they are living in and about the puppeteers who jailed them without them knowing that they been actually jailed and trapped in that
