After you have them play outside and they are hot and sweaty, it feels good to bring them back in the house and cool them off with a big glass of Kool-Aid. After they have their Kool-Aid and are cooled off, you really don’t want to go bring them back outside where it is hot, so you decide to play with play dough. But you don’t have any playdough in the house.

Good morning Sarah, SPSY 510 (psy of exceptional children) goes into the 13 categories of disabilities in which students may be placed for special education. It's a lot of work, but it is a 8 week class. We meet Tuesdays from 5pm to 10pm. I’m currently reading a book by Naomi Klein called Disaster Capitalism that has led me back to the worst terrorist attack in United States history, 9/11. I remember how CNN and Fox were being flooded with the news daily. The story told was, Al-Qaeda members crashed commercial airplanes into the world trade center and the pentagon killing thousands of people. This event is the center of a popular conspiracy theory, because of what unfolded after. The United States invaded Afghanistan and Iraq on the presumption they had nuclear weapons, and introduced the patriot act.

When you think of drug overdose, what do you think about? You probably said Cocaine or Heroin, but what if I told you that there was another drug killing hundreds of thousands of people every year and was somehow going unnoticed. I implore you to read on if you haven’t heard of the shadow epidemic that’s taking American lives everyday. That epidemic is Xanax. Xanax is a very commonly prescribed anti-anxiety drug which became popular in the early 2000s and only continues to rise in popularity as it becomes more of a mainstream recreational drug.

My goal was to enlighten my classmates about the life and career of a talented, complex, beautiful and influential woman who has inspired me personally.
