His parents were called Teresina Capone and Gabriel Capone, and they were poor Italian immigrants, and he was one of 8 siblings. They had immigrated from Naples, Italy to Brooklyn, New York City. He was the fourth of five sons and two daughters. His brother names were Salvatore (Frank) Raffaele (Ralph "Bottles") and Vincenzo.
