Napoleon awoke from a deep slumber, and rose from the sheets of his mattress. He had dreamed of a fire, a fire that had torn through the gullible minds of the ignorant creatures of which he possessed control. A fire, which destroyed his reign of despotism, and brought the farm under control of the stupid animals, even though knew that his reign would not end until the day of his death. Napoleon stood up, feeling all of his weight on his two hind legs. It was a great feeling, to stand on two legs, to feel superior. Napoleon quite enjoyed this feeling; controlling all of the animals. The first person to find Napoleon was squealer. Squealer had been worried about Napoleon because Napoleon never missed a meal, and he had just missed breakfast. It had been a great breakfast, waffles drenched in sweet syrup, eggs from the hens, and cherry pie. Oh how Squealer loved cherry pie. Squealer saw Napoleon on the stairs, and Squealer’s heart missed a beat. Was Napoleon dead? This was the perfect opportunity for squealer to take control. With the help of Snowball it would be easy. The reign of Snowball and Squealer would be much better than that of Napoleon. Napoleon was a stupid beast, and often lacked the control that was needed.
