Alzheimer's disease is the most common type of dementia. It takes effect differently with each patient. Alzheimer's disease involves parts of the brain that control thought, memory, and language. Alzheimer's, a disease that robs people of their memories, has specific signs and symptoms, causes, pathophysiology, diagnoses, prevention, management, prognosis, epidemiology, and history.

Alzheimer's disease has many signs and symptoms. As many symptoms can happen, memory loss is the main one to happen. Memory problems seem to occur first with Alzheimer's. The cause of memory loss is the progressive damage to the brain cells caused by Alzheimer’s disease. Well Alzheimer’s disease is thought to be caused by the abnormal build-up of proteins in and around brain cells. (“Alzheimer's disease - Causes - NHS”) Smoking, alcohol abuse and conditions like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity can all increase your chance of Alzheimer’s. Also, it is possible to get Alzheimer's if a mother, father, brother, or sister has had it in the family, in other words it can be passed down through genetics. Scientists believe that for most people Alzheimer’s is caused by a combination of genetic, lifestyle and environmental factors that affect the brain over time. With Alzheimer’s, the person needs to have a caregiver on hand to help with any stressors. As a caregiver for someone with AD, your responsibilities may include managing their finances, paying their bills, and getting their financial affairs in order. (“Alzheimer’s Caregivers/MedlinePlus”). Caregiving is more needed as AD gets worse. Alzheimer’s disease can worsen from lack of exercise, being overweight, having high blood pressure and from smoking. Diets can help people that have AD.
