Amelia Earhart Women should try to do the impossible like men and when they don’t succeed it should be a challenge for others. Even though she tried to fly around the world and failed, Amelia Earhart was a very determined women and should be remembered. Because she fought for international peace and equality for woman. She also was the first person to attempt to fly around the world. Amelia Earhart had a lot of firsts. On December 28, 1920 pilot Frank Hawks gave Amelia Earhart her first plane ride. Her first flying lesson was on January 3, 1921.(The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis) She was the first women to get a pilot’s license from the National Aeronautic Association. The last plane she flew was her Lockheed Model L0-E Electra is also known as the Electra. However Earhart called it Flying Laboratory because it had so many modifications.
