Intro Amelia Earhart was a pioneer in aviation, along with being an inspiration to all women and put a different view on how women were looked upon. From an early age she did activities that she wanted to do and did not let her gender stop her. Earhart, with high aspirations for herself, followed a career path that was unconventional for a woman. After realizing the effects of her accomplishments she furthered her career not for her own good, but for the good of women so they can do just as she has done. In her career Earhart had to prove herself by working twice as hard to show that she could do everything that a man could do. As a result, she became an example that proved that women are just as capable as men. Childhood/Young adult Earhart did not live the typical childhood. Earhart was born in 1897 in Atchison, Kansas (A,1). She was the daughter of a lawyer who worked for the railroad, until he was let go for being an alcoholic, when Earhart was only eleven years old (B,1). For an early age Earhart showed that she would not have the typical career of women based on her interest, this brought her much fame that inevitably killed her. Her fame killed her because she wanted to stay in the spotlight to show that women are just as capable as men; however, that let to her demise because she tried to do the impossible. Amelia Earhart started off as a free willed person doing what she wanted because that was her passion. But as time went on, she found out that from her power she could influence the world/new generations to show that women are equal to men and later on in her career that became her first priority.
