At 6:15 Italca heard Amelia asking that her location would be tracked in hours time. (Davis, 1972) She made the plan to whistle into the speaker so they could get her location near Howland, the island about 200 miles away.(Davis, 1972) She made her signal but Italca couldn 't find her exact location since her whistle was combined with static.
