Owned by the American Airlines Group (which was a result of a merger between US Airways and American Airlines), it is the largest airline in the world in terms of fleet size, revenue, and scheduled registered passenger miles flown. It has a number of regional partners with several regional airlines that operate an extensive domestic and international network with an estimated average of over 6,700 flights operated each day. The company is headquartered in the Dallas metropolitan area of Fort Worth with Dallas/Fort Worth being one of the airline’s primary hubs. The airline serves to nearly 350 destinations in over 50 countries worldwide.
