American Eagle Outfitters is an apparel store that also owns the sub-brand Aerie, primarily a lingerie store. The company started out with and was incorporated by Jerry and Mark Silverman, before the company was bought out by the Schottenstein family and AE began to flourish and rapidly grow into the store it is today. AE hit milestones such as trading on the NASDAQ stock exchange and opening the Aerie lingerie stores. American Eagle Outfitters made a mark on today’s world of retail, and is now known for its body positive images and making an effort to help the community.
