Issues have arrived from the American healthcare system for years now. People all over the United States are faced with heavy cost for them and their family. Currently, a possible shutdown on the new plan for health care is up in the air. Visits to the doctors’ office, emergency visits, labs, and referrals, all add a financial obstacle for many American people. People pay hundreds and thousands of dollars for healthcare every year. Even the so called best health insurance options come with a monthly deductible and even copayment when seen at the doctors’ office. The American insurance system is designed to make health care financially unpleasant, often to the point where patients forego necessary care. (Goldman, 2018)
Americans are being pushed below the federal poverty line because of medical expenses. Even a large percent of people who make more than the poverty level are being sunk into poverty because of the high demand of money needed for healthcare and the actual appointments. Healthcare prices are high because health treatment is known to be very pricey and demanded by millions of people. The government has set out a system where you don’t have to pay for all of your medical debt all at once. Monthly payments can be set and arranged so that people can have a better chance at affording these costs. …show more content…

This inexpensive option for healthcare allowed many people to get out of debt and afford to be seen for minor and major medical issues without the stress of money. Changing the healthcare insurance for people only means more bankruptcy, and financial burden on many people. Deductibles will be crazy high, and people will not be able to make payments, which will lead their bills going into collections and acquiring bad credit. American Healthcare is used by almost everyone in America; for that reason, it should be kept under a Democrat status and made affordable for everyone of all
