Coming from World War I, you will see that America has changed a lot. There are a lot of new products becoming popular. I will be going over what I think were good investments in the 1920s. I would invest in Ford Motor Company. I would do this because they sold a lot of cars in the 1920s. They would easily make a lot of money, so I would invest in it. My evidence is that “by 1921, the Ford Motor Company had built and sold five million Model T cars. In the next three years, the company sold 10 million more” (6.2 reading, p. 3). If I invested in the company, then I would be able to make a lot of money because Ford sold a lot of cars. I would invest in the American film industry. I would do this because, in the mid-1920s, they were the best film industry. I would invest in them so I could make more money. My evidence is that “the American film industry moved out to Hollywood before World War I because land was cheap and plentiful.” Another piece of evidence is, “And by 1925, the American film industry had eclipsed all of its competitors and become the greatest in the world.” Both from the crash course. Investing in the film industry would be a great move. My evidence shows that they crushed and destroyed all their competitors. They had also become the number one industry in the whole world. They were obviously making a lot of money. So if I invested in them, I would also make a lot of money with them. Investing in farming would not be good. Farmers income dropped, so they weren’t making that much money. It wouldn’t be good for me. My evidence is that “farmers income dropped steadily and many saw banks foreclose upon their property”.
