They were found on an oil storage site once Chris started to reveal more details. At first it was hard to locate them, but then Shannon was found. She was buried in a shallow grave right off the site. The children were harder to locate because they couldn’t be physically seen by police. After a thorough investigation of this site, the 2 daughters' bodies were found in the oil tanks. They were dumped there. Because the bodies were moved after they have already died, it makes more charges for Chris. All of the things he was charged for ended up being felonies, as they are the higher level crimes and charges. Chris Watts was charged with 9 different charges. He was charged with tampering with dead bodies, unlawful termination of a pregnancy, and multiple counts of first degree murder. He was charged with first degree murder because he had planned out this murder of Shannon, Bella, and Celeste along with having the intent to harm them. Everything about his story came out, aligned for the police, and he pleaded guilty. He is serving a life sentence in prison. This movie shed light on the case along with showing different aspects of the law and how they all worked in the Chris Watts
