The author and main character of this book is Chris Kyle. Chris is a SEAL team sniper who has been awarded the title of the most lethal sniper. Chris was born and raised in Texas where he learned to shoot guns with his dad. He later became very interested in joining the military after the 9/11 attacks. Chris went on four tours to Iraq where he became a very successful sniper. If there were a song that explains Chris it would be “Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue” by Toby Keith. One line that truly explains Chris is; “ Justice will be served and the battle will rage, this big dog will fight when you rattle his cage and you’ll be sorry that you messed with the U.S. of A.”(Keith). Marc was a very good man and patriot. Marc was a very supportive guy and firmly believed in what they were doing in Iraq. When needed Marc was willing to do anything for his teammates without hesitation. The song I found that I believe explains Marc is “American Soldier” by Toby Keith. The line that really portrays Marc is; “ I’m an American Soldier, and American, Beside my brothers and my sisters I will proudly take a stand, When liberty’s in jeopardy I will always do what’s right, I’m out here on the front lines”(Keith). This explains Marc because it really shows how he really enjoys being an American Soldier and that when with his brothers and sisters he will always take a stand and do what is right. Marc was a remarkable soldier and loved his fellow teammates. “Marc was an athletic guy, in some ways exactly the sort of tough physical specimen you expect to be a SEAL”(Kyle 216).
