The house at 112 Ocean Avenue in Amityville, New York, has supposedly been haunted since the late 70s. Haunted houses are no surprise to most people. They usually have a tragic backstory or death surrounding the house. One of the most famous of these is the Amityville horror. On November 13, 1974, the mass murder of the DeFeos in their Mityville home was reported. The Defos are mom, dad, two daughters, and three sons. The victims Ronald DeFeo Sr, “Lousie, daughters Down, 18, and Allison, 13, and sons Mark, 12, and John Mathew, 7” ( The Amityville murders ). His oldest son, Ronald DeFeo Jr., was the only survivor. In 1975, George Lutz and his family moved into the famous “amityville horror” house in New York. The Lutz family left the house after just 28 days of living there. The family said there was paranormal activity happening at the “Amityville Horror House.” George Lutz said it was the house of his dreams. George Lutz would wake up at 3:15 every night around the same time the murders happened.
