The Amount of Power within Jacks Palms Humans can be extremely cruel to one and other at times. This book, The Lord of the Flies, was written in the time frame of the Holocaust by William Golding. The Holocaust was somewhat similar to this book. The Holocaust was run by a name named Adolf Hitler and killed many people. This relates to the book because it was run by Hitler and he pretty much ordered people to kill people. Both Hitler and Jack have the same ideas which is to control the area and people, and soon start to kill. It is clear to that jack was an illusion to Hitler based on the fact that he wants to control the group of kids, he makes fun of piggy because he is fat and not perfect, and lastly he starts killing the group of …show more content…
This is used in the book several times. To go along with this Golding states, “‘I got the conch’ Said Piggy indignantly. ‘You let me speak!’ ‘The conch doesn't count on top of the mountain’ Said Jack, ‘So you shut up’” (42). Jack is like a dictator here, since he is telling Piggy what to do. He is also saying the conch doesn’t work up here in order to establish his own rules. So as the reader can see, Jack is always trying to take the reins as being a leader in their group of kids. These actions are not in any good way perhaps his thoughts. Jack seems to be really obsessed with killing Piggy. For example, Simon is horrifically killed by the kids on the island who had mistaken him for the beast. They killed Simon in their sacrifice dance. They anally penetrated and raped him It’s stated that Ralph, Piggy, Sam and Eric contributed in the death that was lead by Jack. After Simon gets killed, the hunters attack on Ralph and his group and get to steal Piggy’s specs to use them to get the fire started. This seems to anger Ralph. Samneric and Piggy visit the hunter’s colony grounds the next day to ask them for the return of Piggy’s specs. While Ralph and Samneric go up to the hunters, Piggy is on the cobblestone bridge with the conch. A verbal issues between Ralph and Jack happens as hunters take Samneric hostage. While this is happening, Roger throws a rock that was used to protect the cobblestone bridge and it descends down onto Piggy making him fall off a high cliff descending forty feet downwards and he fell on his rear. His upper body including his head split open from the fall. His body is taken away by the water current. The conch also shatter after this situation. In conclusion, this sums up on how Jack is shown to be pretty similar to Hitler, based on the fact that he wants to control the group of kids, he makes fun of piggy because he is fat and not perfect, and lastly he starts killing the group of
