All things considered, Saving Fish From Drowning by Amy Tan is not her most well-written book, yet it is still worth reading. The book is very informative and has underlying messages that make the reader understand struggles in different parts of the world. The story was enlightening about the government and human rights issues in Burma. The book was successful in analyzing the philosophical idea of “saving fish from drowning”. Someone, such as the Burmese government, can say that they are “saving” people, but that does not mean there is no harm done.
