Sarah Orne Jewett took on the values of life by the written adventure of a little girl courageously finding her way through trees; Sylvia. In “A White Heron” the point of view of the story helps the reader feel and see Sylvia’s senses while she endures the challenging journey of climbing the trees for the discovery of the heron’s nest.
