Day at a Time in The Life of Peoneyboy Imagine having no parents, just brothers that do not do anything, but be mean most of the time and always in a fight either with each other or a Soc. Imagine being in the middle of so much stress that just would not go away. Imagine having to go through so much with no one to help and nobody there to make nothing goes wrong. Ponyboy has been having problems that just would not go away without a little help from himself or others. Have you ever faced any conflicts that impacted your life? This novel named “ The Outsiders” by S.E. Hinton is about the Curtis brothers who live on their own because their parents died in a car crash. They are put into groups of Greasers and Socs by where they live and how much money is in the household. The …show more content…

Johnny ends up killing one of the main Socs in the story named Bob, soon after Johnny continues running away from home with Ponyboy to an old church. Later in the story a fire happens at the church and kids are in there with no help to get out. Ponyboy and Johnny run in the church to help get the kids out, but once the kids were out some of the roof fell on Johnny leaving him needing to be rushed to the hospital right away. Days pass by and Johnny died in the hospital room while Ponyboy was looking at him. He goes home and tell everyone Johnny is dead. Dally could not take it so he robbed a store to get the police after him. Once the police got out of their cars Dally pulled out an unloaded gun and the police did not know. The police shot Dally to death right in front of the Curtis brothers. The guys end up going home knowing they have to keep living life as if that night never happened.
