Family makes success. The house we grew up in, and the environment of our family are what make success and give us opportunities to succeed. Malcolm Gladwell's outliers is about success and how people gain success through underlying opportunities. The Factor that most contributes to success in Outliers is the set of skills that people are granted through their culture and family. Motivation is what drives individuals to make their goals come true and achieve success. Influence from your parents affects personality and motivation. The amount of pressure put on children can affect an individual's motivation to succeed. In outliers, Gladwell says “But social savvy is knowledge. Its a set of skills that have to be learned. It has to come from somewhere, and the place where we seem to get these kidneys of attitudes and skills is from our families”(Gladwell 102). Having a two-parent over a one- parent household is an underlying advantage. Gladwell states “If someone had recognized his intel-ligence and if he was from a family where there was some kind of value on education, they would have made sure he wasn't bored” (Gladwell 110). Gladwell states how if Chis Langan had someone in his family notice his intelligence and appreciated the value of education he might have had the tools that figures such as bill gates had to succeed. But because of the nonexistent pressure or care from his parents, he never had the tools needed to achieve success. Having the pressure and support of a parent can make success and give the drive to achieve the success that without a parents support their kin may end up lost or unmotivated to gain this success. Having the tools provided by economic success is what helps gain success instead of the people who don't have those tools to achieve that
