INTRODUCTION:
This report is meant to provide Tesla Motors with an evaluation of both Forsyth County and Montgomery County, which are located within the Triad/Triangle region of North Carolina as possible locations to open a new plant. The evaluation is based on four factors: Labor Availability and Costs, Attractiveness of Region, Government Incentives and Fiscal Policies/Tax Incentives, and Land & Construction Costs. These factors have been chosen due to their ability to heavily impact the overall strategy of Tesla Motors. The findings from each factor will be used to evaluate which region is the better fit for Tesla.
LABOR AVAILABILITY:

Labor availability and cost is a critical factor when looking into the appropriateness of a firm’s new location. It is more rural but is known for its beauty, especially with being situated in the heart of the Uwharrie National Forest. Its motto isn’t “The Golden Opportunity” for nothing. It used to be a leading gold production area in the early 1800s, but is still great for outdoor recreation. Such makes sense, as there are tens of thousands of acres of open space (_mont. website_). The public schools are better than many, especially considering its rural nature, and the healthcare availability is high quality. Those who would move to the area when joining Tesla would likely be impressed with the beauty of the area and some of the perks that come along with such. However, Forsyth County has a leg up with schooling. There are also more considerable places to live, as most of Montgomery County is a national forest. A nice quality about the Winston-Salem area is that there are no major downsides to living there (_sperling’s best places_). LAND & CONSTRUCTION COSTS:
Montgomery
