Amber Heard is an American actress. Born in Austin, Texas, Amber dropped out of high school after her friend died in a car accident. She made her first film appearance in 2004 in the sports drama Friday Night Lights, starring Billy Bob Thornton. She played a few small roles like the ones in North Country and Alpha Dog, and then she starred in her first leading role in All the Boys Love Mandy Lane (2006). Her breakthrough came in 2008 with roles in Never Back Down and Pineapple Express. She later received the Breakthrough Award at Young Hollywood Awards for these films. She starred alongside Johnny Depp in The Rum Diary where she won a Spotlight Award. In 2017, Heard will appear as Mera in the upcoming superhero film, Justice League.
