Jeff Bezos is a perfect example of an organizational leader who practice what he preaches. Jeff Bezos is the founder of Amazon which is one of the largest retailers in today’s society. The company originally started as an online site for just endless shelf space for books but has diversified into just about every industry. When initially starting Amazon, Jeff was able to take advantage of the growing trend of technology. He envisioned that the world would slowly pull away from traditional retail stores and purchase items online. From 1995 until now, online retailers have a huge share in the market. My store manager name is Jeff Nelson. A very enthusiastic leader who constantly motivates and checks in with his employees throughout the day. Jeff tends to avoid conflict by attending to the customer needs in any way possible. Dicks Sporting Goods is one of the big retail store that sells many of products and services. Employees are expected to know what they have in the store but if there is any controversy they can ask a certain individual in each department or contact the store manager. Jeff has great knowledge on where all items are stationed in the store. The customer segment varies, as we have customers who come from different segments. Those who are looking for athletic equipment to those who are looking for hunting and fishing products. Throughout pretty much all of the customers they all purchase apparel at Dicks Sporting Goods. It is very common to see a customer in the store multiple times a week due to the customer loyalty. I think some of the loyalty is due to the rewards program that Dicks offers. Through purchasing items at any location Customers are able to earn points that can be used to receive money off the next purchase. I believe that this adds some value to the service that they offer their customers. They are able to notice that people that shop their numerous times deserve a something to want them to continue to come
