Throughout “An Occurrence At Owl creek Bridge” there is a reoccurrence of him describing the main character, Peyton Farquhar’s memories in order to build the setting and a mood. When the author Ambrose Bierce uses these techniques in his writing, it makes the reader have certain emotions towards different things in each scene.
