The short story All Summer In A Day by Ray Bradbury teaches us about how jealousy can lead people to do evil things. Margot has come to planet Venus only five years ago from Earth, so the kids hated her so much because she remembers the feeling. She remembered the sun that's what the kids despised most about her. Margot thinks the sun is like a flower. Margot also said it's like a penny, bright yellow and bronze. She remembers the colors and the heat, and how it really was. The children thought they remembered the warmness and how like a cloud it was, but then they violently woke up to the tattering sounds of of the unsatisfying rain. All the children made fun of and bullied poor Margot. But what they all thought she was a bit different. Margot was different she wouldn't play with them in tag, she would just stand there and blink. All the children who lived in Venus have seen the sun one time, when they were two. But Margot does, she knows how much of a lemon it was, and how warm it feels. The kids think they remember the glow and the warmth of the sun, but then they wake up. The school in Venus they write short stories, essays, or poems about the sun. they wondered what it felt like, but when Margot did her poem or story all the kids got jealous.
