Globalization has come about to due to it being cheaper for foreigners to work for large companies. In Andrew Marantz’s essay,”My Summer at an Indian Call Center”, he speaks on his time being apart of globalization.His experience is at at a Call enter in India where he took part in a culture training that helped Indians take part in Western culture. Irony is the opposite of the intended outcome and irony and be seen throughout Marantz’s experience. Marantz use of irony is particularly effective to show his argument that globalization brings conformity instead of just learning another culture. Marantz uses
