How does this article impact the way you see the world? This article made me realized how judgmental we have become. We are biased towards our own culture, and judge other cultures because they are not familiar to us. This article made me more aware about other cultures in the world.

Does this change anything for you? Yes, it changed the way I respond towards a different culture. While reading this article, I was unconsciously judging the Nacirema tribe. This article is just describing the American culture during the 1950s, and if it weren’t written the way this article was written, people would react differently. Even though this article is describing us right now, we think that it’s from a different culture, and felt disgusted by it.
