In the context of environmental awareness and electric vehicles, we as a society are currently riding a high wave of forward-thinking change.
John Fialka chronicles in Car Wars select individuals with the passion and courage to challenge the auto industry, an industry that had been rooted in the internal combustion engine since its creation by Henry Ford. As a result of the work of these people, the electric vehicle is only beginning to appear on modern day roads. The path to convincing Americans — and ultimately, the world — to drive electric is characterized by ambiguity and challenge, but is also crucial to salvaging the global environment.
