Argumentative Essay According to Shannon Doyne, author of “Is Cheerleading A Sport?” published by The New York Times, two groups reported their arguable opinions on cheer officially being a sport. As where one group of individuals are as Doyle says, “skeptical” (Doyle 1) of high schools and universities officially calling cheerleading a sport because they would feel that it would take away from other women sports.
