Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is a thrilling novel written by Rober Louis Stevenson and first published in 1886. This master-piece was originated in a dream Stevenson once had. Upon waking he reminded ‘a fine bogy tale’ and immediately set about writting it down. When it came out it was consider to be the most terrifying story ever written and many readers gave up before reaching to the end of the book. The plot is set in London, where a grotesque and detestable short man appears one night and runs over a child in the foggy streets of the English capital. After that event, Mr. Utterson, a noble and respected lawyer, decides to investigate who was that despicable person who was causing chaos in the city. After following tracks, he finds out that the man (whose name was Mr. Hyde) was related to a famous doctor, Dr. Henry Jekyll. The characters are also extremely well-built, every single one of them represent a general personality in London’s 1800’s society.
