"I have a dream!" We all know that famous quote by the man that did not approve of discrimination or nonequality. Martin Luther King Jr. or Dr. Martin. He gave his famous speech I have a dream at the Lincoln Memorial, Washington D.C on August 28, 1963.His speech was so successful because he moved a crowd so they can stop discrimination and freedom. "We cannot walk alone.And as we walk, we must pledge that we shall always march ahead.We cannot turn back." Dr. Martin stepped for legal rights but mostly for freedom. It didn't feel right to him that black people were mistreated and used as slaves. But while marching it had a price. Every time they marched, there was always white police officers telling them to turn back around, but Dr.King wasn't having it anymore and would continue to keep marching, and the price they paid was getting beaten or even gassed, but they continued and fought for their freedom."We cannot walk alone.And as we walk, we must pledge that we shall always march …show more content…

"We can never be satisfied as long as our children are stripped of their self-hood and robbed of their dignity by signs stating: "For Whites Only." they were so divided then. They didn't have the right to vote, had their water fountain, bathroom had to sit at the back of the bus, even schools. Dr. King was tired of the discrimination and hate towards black people, so he stood for what he believed was right.The right way he knew was to march for him and his people's freedom and to stop hatred. His speech was successful!He had such powerful ways to get the crowd to engage.Had them cheering and yelling with hands or clapping.
