Friends is a show that took place from 1994 through 2004 about Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Monica, Joey, and Phoebe navigating their lives together by having friendships and romances while spending much of their time at Central Perk and Monica's apartment. During the last episode they finally are married and then they divorce years later, though to the viewers it was moments after the wedding which lasted the whole last season. This seemed to be a waste as the season was spent showing how they were perfect for each other and how important their marriage was for them. Fans were disheartened when Ted and Tracy do not marry right away and after spending only a few years together Tracy dies of an unexplained illness. This happens after she has a couple of children for him and her life has been built up for nine seasons only to be taken away from viewers soon after. At the end Ted finishes telling his story and his children tell him that he should be with Robin so he steals the blue French horn, a reoccurring symbol for them, and stands outside her apartment window, like he did in the first episode.
