“Guess Who 's Coming to Dinner” is a Comedy and Drama movie released in 12 December, 1967 in USA. The film was based on a woman, Joanna Drayton, an extroverted woman and a man, John Prentice, a black doctor become engaged. During the time when “Guess Who 's Coming to Dinner” was released, people all over the nation were strained with their attitude about the racial heat of the Civil rights movement. Racial equality was a nationwide issue with different understandings and ideas about the situation.
During that time, despite the fact that the civil rights act and voters rights act was passed, individuals were enduring both highs and lows. Racial dominance was still prevalent. There were demonstrations around different places in the nation. In the movie “Guess Who 's Coming to Dinner”, people were opposed to such new ideology. The Actors and Actress were somewhat able to establish the society, political views and outlook of public at that time. John Prentice, was a very proficient medical doctor and was working towards curative diseases. But, looking back at the prevailing inequality at that time, his achievements were very extraordinary even for a normal white man.
