According to William (1996) Henry Hazlit 's the Broken Window Fallacy states that when a hoodlum throws a brick and breaks the baker 's window. The baker is upset that he has to spend $250 to have the window repaired but a consumer reminds the baker that he is helping the economy because this creates a job for the glazier (glass repairman). Since money is exchanging hands between the baker and glazier (which is seen) the glazier business takes an upturn because now the" glazier can spend money with other vendors who will in turn spend that same $250 with other vender and so on."
