One day, you're enjoying a nice hot cup of coffee on your front porch when you see a soldier aiming at your neighbor as he starts leaving for school. In “High Jinks: Shoot-Out” by Guy Martin informs us about how high schools in New York promote this type of action and no consequences are faced. These pieces of evidence support the claim that role-playing games with simulated violence are dangerous and a threat to kids. In the text, it states, “Hopped a neighbor's fence and exited through a neighbor's house” (Martin 2). This evidence strongly supports the claim because it proves how a student decides to exit through a neighbor's house, which is a sign of trespassing, just to not get caught and be eliminated from this violent and dangerous game. Students are so determined and competitive to win that they forget about legal laws. It seems as though the school is blinded by sand in their eyes when they see stuff like this. The student tries to get the person out and stalks him to see if he's awake just to get him eliminated. It’s okay to use smart skills but using skills to ambush others and see if the idea works might encourage them to do more of these types of tricks and pranks. Additionally, in the text, it states “ Shot a boy sitting on his stoop in Boerum Hill, a second as he ventured from his country house to Cobble Hill, and a third whom he duped into coming to a party in the village” (Martin 2). This piece of evidence supports the claim because it shows how another student is trying to just enjoy their life when a competitive student comes between that and ruins it. Whether you are sitting in your home or outside at a party these vicious students will always get
