This poem is about the end of the world. I know this due to the lines “The whole human population Waited with anticipation, Fearing evaporation, From a nuclear conflagration... Belt out in fear of earth's demise.” This shows that humans are afraid of dying, and the earth is about to be ruined. I think this poem could be masculine or feminine, but stereotypically I believe it is more masculine due to the bluntness and harshness of the way its written. I believe this poem was written in the 1960’s due to the name Kennedy, which I assume it is referring to John F. Kennedy who was president from 1961-1963. I also assume this poem was written in America if it is referring to a U.S president, and it mentions capitol hill which is in Washington D.C.
