Could you kill one of your family members if it came to that situation. Many other families and people have to decide that everyday. It may never happen to you but, it is a very real and scary thing to go through. In the book Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck the main character George has to decide whether to kill his best friend Lennie. George has to decide whether to kill Lennie or let the other men hang Lennie. The reason George has to come to this decision is, because Lennie accidentally killed Curley's wife by shaking her too hard, because she was yelling for. When Curly found out that Lennie killed his wife he wanted to torture and make Lennie suffer for what he did. Curly didn't care about his wife's death he just wanted a reason to kill Lennie. Aunt Claire would give Lennie mice to pet, but he would kill the mice, because he didn't know his own strength. When their aunt they went to live on there own with barely any help from others.
