Throughout history, we have seen many people thinking they can take over on their own, and rule and conquer the world. We have seen it in people, leaders, and much more. You have guys like Hitler, Osama Bin Laden, Stalin, Paul Castellano, John Gotti with many more. They tried to manipulate and conquer but failed because they haven't realized that to rule you need someone else, like Jordan and Pippen, Brady has Belichick and Jay Z had Beyonce. This is also why, you see those people got killed or killed themselves in an attempt to escape reality. In the novel by Julia Alvarez “Before We Were Free” it is a story based on the author's real life events, but we just see it in a fictional character's perspective. She knows how to get stuff done by motivating herself to help herself become better and just go further. She wants to push herself, and get done and do what she has to do to make sure she doesnt break that promise. In the text, we see that Anita makes that promise to her father and goes and chases her freedom for the better. She does this by going through her obstacles, and just being generous, and living for her father like he wants, and goes and chases her dreams. This relates back to the idea of how Anitta is very persevering and never gives up. This is why Anita is very motivating and a good character to watch, we watch her grow emotionally, physically, and mentally. This is why we love to see Anita, gain her freedom and the hell of El Jefe ends. If you want change, you must go out and get it, you can't expect change to come if you are not working. It’s like asking for money from your parents, but if you don't give them what they want, by passing your classes doing your chores, and behaving how do you expect to get money? It’s like not going to work, expecting a paycheck. This book, can relate to people who don't usually believe that they can make a change. That they have no effect on the world. This book, tells you straight up, that if you change yourself, you can change the world around you. This is very motivating, and a very awesome
