In his lifetime, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. created two impactful pieces of literature that drastically affected the United States’ movement to change. He used logic and emotion to encourage civil rights activists to act in his two works: “I have a Dream” and “Letter From Birmingham Jail.” Both emotions were used in each text but in different ways.
