“A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events and outcomes. It is a catalyst and it sparks extraordinary results.” (Wade Boggs). Anne Frank is a person who remained positive even while their family was in hiding, especially at times where being scared and sad was fine. Another person who remained positive during tough times is Winston Churchill, he was the prime minister of England during WWII and kept the entire country positive while they were being bombed. Doing this kept the country alive and well. If they didn’t do this, the Nazis may have taken over England. Being positive, Like Anne Frank and Churchill, when encountering conflict can help, since remaining positive during a conflict can make the conflict not seem as extreme or bad as it is. …show more content…
He recorded his own story with his book “Night”. After being liberated from Buchenwald, Birkenau, Auschwitz, and Buna he swore himself to a ten-year silence of not speaking about what he experienced at the camps. “ She must be in a in a labor camp. And Tzipora’s a big girl now isn’t she? She must be in a camp, too.” ( Wiesel Pg 43). This was after Elie and his father was separated from his mom and sister. In this quote Elie’s father is telling Elie that his mom and sister are still alive even though they don’t know to try to keep both of them happy and positive. They do this because if they know that his mom and sister are dead they have nothing left to live for other than each other, which would put them in a sad and depressed mood which would make the conflict worse. Also if they are depressed they would not want to work hard to get out, so if they don’t work they get thrown in the furnace. If they both think that the rest of the family is still alive their positive and happy attitude would drive them to try to work hard to get out of the camp.Keeping a positive attitude even when it's just off hope can make even the worst situations seem
