James-Lange theory claims that we become aware of how we are feeling, and only then do we experience an emotion. This theory applies to Riley emotional experience throughout the movie; as her emotions process the stimulus that Riley receives, then do they act and decide how Riley should feel. Many situations appeared in the movie to support the claim. An example is when Riley was chatting with her old friend in Michigan. Her friend started talking about another girl, which made the Angry character in Riley’s head mad.
