In the article “Stereotype can drag down performance” the author Shankar Vedantam is trying to make a point that stereotyping starts at a young age. What is stereotyping it’s a form of judging someone that has that has different sick color or race about the other person like one example is that all mexicans are lazy when their not. Also it can be about the way you dress and act to other people or just how they look when people don’t know the real thing. And for that years people like blacks and mexican are the most to to fail the test and many other things to so. As you can see in the video i saw the kids think that most kids with white kids are better looking and think that people with white skin color are better at everything else. In other words so kids with darker skin tone think that people or kids the same age as them think that they are better looking and smart just because the skin tone is lighter then theirs. There is no doubt that stereotyped is a bad but most kids are born into it by there family members like mom or dad and think that other races are bad and some kids do listen to them just because there parents said so.
