Have you ever been overwhelmed or consumed by technology? Well I know I have! Today I will be comparing texts called “The Black Hole of Technology”, and “Teens and Technology Share a Furture”. Leena Khan, author of “Black Hole of Technology” and Stefan Etienne, author of “Teens & Technology Share a Future” both discuss the good and bad effects of technology. However, Leena Khan believes that technology is bad and distracting. In contrast, Stefan Etienne believes that there is so much unknown about technology and that teens can help to build it and make new things more and more everyday.

In the text “Teens and Technology Share a Fututre”, it uses persuasive writing. For example it states “That’s what computer technology can do-like sunshine breaking through the cold, it changes how we see things.”. The author is telling us that technology is like the sun, It makes people happy, and it changes how we see things. Stefan Etienne also states opinionated writing. In the text it states “The world is facing many problems but young people-using the power of technology-have the power to save them.” The author is telling us his opinion on how the world can become better with technology in teens’ hands. …show more content…
