Beginning at the macro level, DE&I has been put on hold in Universal Orlando Resort due to the political environment, causing USH to tread carefully before making impactful decisions that could polarize UDX. On an organizational level, there are many misconceptions and attitudes toward DE&I due to the news coverage in the media that may impact your leadership. In March 2023, Universal Parks and Resorts became Universal Destinations and Experiences (UDX) in hopes of accurately showcasing the extensive range of innovative products and services NBCUniversal provides to fans worldwide, while also signaling its commitment to ongoing business expansion (NBCUniversal, 2023). The key component of this rebranding is Universal serving fans worldwide. Firstly, it is important to note that although Universal Studios Hollywood is inclusive of the parks and resorts featured under UDX, all companies, such as Peacock, Comcast, NBC Sports, News, and so on, are under the business umbrella of NBCUniversal. While all of these organizations may offer their own resources and tools, and have their own leadership and stakeholders, there are also many resources and initiatives that are shared by all who are linked to NBCUniversal that many employees may be unaware
