Professor Schlemiel is caring and compassionate because in the story he finds a dog that is lost, like him so he told him that he would he would help him find his home and that he would not leave him. He is also very forgetful since he does not remember where he lives and he forgets his stuff everywhere. Professor Shlemiel is the protagonist in this story because the text is in his perspective and we are getting to see what he is really going through and with this it unfolds his character.

Eventually, Ralph accomplished many different things in his life he lived.
Often criticized for his treatment of the Invisible Man, and his rise to power during a time when only the white people had any power; Mr. Bledsoe actually helped more than he harmed. By being in any type of leadership position he is able to look out for the black community if something occurs or is about to occur, Bledsoe is able to prevent the issue or protect his people in a dire situation. In the specific case of Mr. Bledsoe, I believe that the way he is fighting the system by being a part of it and fixing it from within is the best way for Bledsoe to promote positive change for the black community. The eighteenth chapter starts with the Invisible Man identifying his tendencies that seem analogous with Bledsoe’s way of living (to fit into the white man’s world and win little success’ along the way.)
Ralph Ellison’s Invisible Man is a riveting novel encompassing the life and hardships of an unnamed black narrator in the 1930’s. Ellison’s beautifully crafted work dives deep into the racism and hardships of 1930 and uses numerous conventions to layer depth onto his subject. Ellison attempts to inform the reader of the extreme racism that was rampant in 1930’s society. The violence displayed in the battle royale held in the narrator's home town in chapter one is a shocking opening to the rest of the novel.

The last artifact I analyzed was the 2012 film of Sinister. It follows Ellison 's family as he moves into the house where a crime scene took place. As he is moving in, a local officer is not very fond of him and his work. After that, Ellison goes into the attic, and find a singular box on its own in the room, with films of the murders that took place, as they are, or seem to be cursed objects. And after reviewing the film, he starts asking all sorts of questions, like, "why would you film this?"
Ralph Ellison’s Invisible Man addresses double consciousness by directly referring to this concept, as well as W.E.B. DuBois’s concept of the veil placed over African Americans. Throughout the novel, the Invisible Man believes that his whole existence solely depends on recognition and approval of white people, which stems from him being taught to view whites as superior. The patterns of trust and subsequent betrayal found in the Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison, serve to teach lessons about what it was like for African Americans in post-slavery America, when the book is set. The Invisible Man trusts easily and naively. Yet, despite working hard, he is betrayed by the institutions and people he looks up to as role models as they exploit his expectations for their own agenda. In this essay from Ralph Ellison’s Invisible Man, I will be discussing the notion of invisibility and where associable the related images of blindness and sight. Using two episodes from the beginning of the novel where the narrator is still perceptually blind to the idea that he is invisible. The first episode occurs just after the battle royal, where the narrator delivers his speech to the white people. The narrator’s speech episode is an integral part of the notion of invisibility, simply because the reader is introduced to different ideas of invisibility connected to the image of blindness. The second episode occurs in the Golden Day with the veteran mocking Norton’s interest in the narrator.
Stacy Davis, self-proclaimed activist for feminism and womanism, is a “scholar trained in feminist theory and African American biblical hermeneutics” (Davis 23). In her article, The Invisible Woman: Numbers 30 and the Policies of Singleness in Africana Communities, Davis argues for a prominent place for single woman (specifically those who have never married) in biblical scholarship, and as leaders in the church, with questions of their sexuality left alone. Davis argues this viewpoint from the perspective as an unmarried black woman. Davis establishes the foundation for her argument in Numbers 30, a text that altogether omits reference to single woman, rather each group of women mentioned in the text about vows refers to them in relation to men (21). Thus, Davis establishes the omission of single women in the Hebrew Bible as the invisible women.
The novel shows how throughout history, race determines what treatment people receive and can lead to an entire people group feeling invisible. The problematic of history, a shallow mechanistic smugness that blinds itself to the complexities of reality, especially that of racial and cultural difference, and being shown as scientific, is one of the things that create the invisibility of people in this novel (Bourassa 4). In Invisible Man, the narrator states, “Nor is my invisibility exactly a matter of biochemical accident to my epidermis. That invisibility to which I refer occurs because of a peculiar disposition… A matter of the construction of their inner eye, those eyes with which they look through their physical eyes upon reality” (Ellison 4).
The protagonist in several works of literature is generally plagued by conflicting influences, adding to the overall meaning of the literary work. The Invisible Man’s narrator is the same. As the narrator struggles in pursuit of understanding his invisibility, he finds himself vacillating between influences of Dr. Bledsoe, Brother Jack, and his grandfather. Dr. Bledsoe’s beliefs and actions toward the narrator mark him as invisible, adding to narrator’s inability to advance in life. Dr. Bledsoe explains to the narrator that black people are only able to succeed when they play the white man’s game.
Literary Analysis of The Invisible Man The Invisible Man written by H.G Wells revolves around a scientist named Griffin who accidentally stumbles upon a way to make a person invisible for however long it lasts. Griffin, the invisible man, first appears as a mysterious stranger, bandaged and seeking shelter but progressively transforms into a careless being with a mission to create a reign of terror.
