This lesson introduces Oklahoma history to students in a project based format. This lesson is designed to give students broad brush strokes of information that the rest of the semester will be used to reinforce. The lesson is a project based which utilizes Piktochart’s system. NCSS Theme 10: Civic Ideals, and Practices: The lesson allows examine the various citizen roles and their duties and responsibilities to Oklahoma. 8. Content Standard 1: The student will describe the state’s geography and the historic foundations laid by Native American, European, and American cultures. 1.
