Many think Pony boy has a rough life. He even has his brothers with him at tough times. Just like the rumble how two bit 's, Darry and Pony boy fought the Socs. Then, the greasers win the rumble against the Socs. Therefore, Pony boy will be better with his brothers than foster care.

There are comparisons and contrast in the movie and the book “The Outsiders”. For example in both when Ponyboy and Johnny run away from after killing Bob they go on the train to the abandoned church in both. They are similar because in the story and movie Johnny kills bob then runs away with Pony. They go to Dally where he gave them a pistol and told them to jump on the train and get off at the second stop Windrixville and go to the abandoned church on top of jay mountain. Another example of similarities between both is they still have all the main characters in the greaser gang.
The chapters 1-5 of the Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, is about two gangs the greasers and the Socs, who are always causing trouble. In the greaser gang, the protagonist, Ponyboy, is always getting good grades and is the smartest in the gang. Dally is one of the members in the gang, Ponyboy 's brother, has been in jail multiple times. Sodapop is also Ponyboy’s brother. He works at a gas station.
DARRY OR SYSTEM ? In the novel The Outsiders, Ponyboy may think he's fine living with his two older brothers Darry and Sodapop but, he doesn't know what trouble can come his way. This shows that Ponyboy is better off in the system because of the bad influences in his life and his living conditions. In the novel the Outsiders, two "Greaser" gang members, Johnny and Ponyboy, get caught in a murder. There are two main gangs in the story, the Greasers and the Socs, who are at odds throughout the novel. We are shown in the novel that two people, one poor and one rich, both share a love for sunsets. Metaphorically, sunsets in The Outsiders reveal insights into rival gangs, showing that we are not that different from our rivals, we are all a part of the same world, and that everyone faces obstacles in life.
Comparative Analysis The Wednesday Wars, by Gary D. Schmidt, and The Outsiders, by S.E. Hinton, both take place in the 1960s. When analyzing the two novels, one can compare and contrast the social inequalities racism, classism, and bullying. These inequities enhance the reader’s understanding of how society is separated. While racism is present in The Wednesday Wars, the subject is not present in The Outsiders.
Who knows what his life could be like in a group home. The Socs, one of the many provocative gang groups, kids who live lavish lives and get away with the crimes they commit because they look clean cut and look like good innocent kids on the outside.
In the book, Outsiders, I noticed the most character development in Ponyboy Curtis. Although he didn’t realize many things until the end of the book, I think once everything registered within himself, he took everything that had happened to him in the past couple weeks as a lesson. One thing that Ponyboy finally grasped was that his oldest brother Darry actually cared for him. At first Ponyboy had always thought that Darry didn’t like him and that Darry would rather him be gone. However, after his friends repeatedly reassured Ponyboy that his older brother had been hard on him because he really loved and cared about him, Ponyboy slowly started to realize that, even though the two still fought a bit.
Louis warned me about those people because of the succubus and incubus demons that attached themselves to them and preyed on innocents when given the opportunity.
