It takes a lot of to survive a life or death situation. When you are in that type of situation you will probably end up doing anything to survive in a life or death situation. Many people will not be able to survive if they do not have physical and mental toughness. What it takes to survive is determination, creativeness, and being prepared It takes determination to survive in the story the Voyage of James Caird. The reason is because if you do not have determination, then why did you go on this voyage. Having determination means going through with everything. The reason is because if you are not creative you might not be able to build a shelter. You also have to be creative to set up a trap to go and catch food. In the most dangerous game the guy is creative and goes to find a new home to survive, but luckily found an already built house with a servant. Rainsford sets three traps to outwit the general.
