These Happy Golden Years is a book written by Laura Ingalls Wilder. The book takes place in 1880 on the prairie. The book starts out with Laura, Laura is one of the main characters. She is driving to Laura’s first job as a school teacher. She has a lot of trouble at her first job, but it turns out alright, she even meets Almanzo, someone who takes her home at the end of the week. Laura then returns home and stays home for a while, but soon gets a new job. Her new job again takes her away from home, she is helping hold down a claim. Again she returns home to see Mary, her sister who was away at school. she meets up with Almanzo again and her propose to her.
